Cherry Blossoms and Sowing

Spring has come and the we are in the middle of cherry blossom season, when farmers and gardeners like myself enjoy sowing all sorts of plants for the coming summer. In the seed package in Japan, it is clearly stated "sow when right before the cherry started to bloom", "sow when the cherry started to bloom" or "sow when the cherry blossom season is over". It only makes more sense to watch out the cherry trees in your area to know when is the best time to sow. Trees are more sensitive to the subtle changes of temperature and the degree to which the Sun will shine upon the plants. In our mild climate, thousands of plant species thrive, in the fields, in the yards, in pots mostly around urban ereas, ranges from familiar dandelions and magnolias to bamboo shootings (culms).
