When I heard that the US congress passed a resolution on Armenian genocide -- a few thoughts went through my mind. The first thing is that -- justice, by its definition, what is right and what is not. Being open about the facts and figures, is what our society is based upon. Who would judge the incident if no one is sure of what happened? Who could help the people in Turkey for speaking up?
It is a very sensitive issue. Mass murders come along with every war. The victims claim compensations, in terms of money and in political deals. It could only be that they would require apologies for every visit before every deal making. Considering no life would be saved and nothing like this would never happen, it is a matter of moral and historical views of the US, and the international world. Could this be a sort of pressure of some kind? Can the Turkish government issue a similar resolution on the US's wars?
It happens that the government reportedly has tried to stop the passage, for better relations with Turkey, which the US is relied upon for its military aids in the Middle East. The committee passed it anyway, by a narrow margin. Now, the Turkish government recalled its ambassador from the US. They might like the States less for being "one of them" but that blame would belong to them anyway, is my understanding.
