Press Conference: President Sarkozy and President Obama

The talk between President Sarkozy and President Obama ended and in the press conference. President Obama said he is interested in the Iran sanction be implemented within this month, as announced previously. They maintain the concept of free market but agreed and disagreed with the financial reforms and their weapons trade.

They say they are united and against terrorism. There are seemingly struggles between yet there are issues at hand that need to be solved. Their strength in character, and in intellectual strength still, together with the strength of wills, hopefully they be heading toward peace.

The other agenda, which were not included in the press conference are: Burma, Death Penalties in China, Congo, French sales of Mistral to Russia, nuclear disarmament etc.

They say they are there to have a talk because they want to boost popularity, President Sarkozy making points in meeting with President Obama. They say that the sanction against Iran will do -- a gain in diplomacy. The media reception was cold but seemingly it was for the negotiations.

President Sarkozy said, after President Obama referred to the sanction issue, he keeps his word, that is his bond, which is so important. Trust is a curious thing, it itself is a factor that forges trust -- even in times of hardship, trying times. You would trust a person, of his character, humanity, and perhaps most importantly, in intelligence, in understanding. This natural urge in wanting to believe in, should not be hindering us from making judgments. This is what keeps up the society stable, safe, intact and peaceful.
