Today on 10th of March, an anniversary of the day of the resistance in 1951, the Tibetan people burnt their fur products, responding to the call of the Dalai Lama that the fur trade is a wrong thing to do that damages the precious Tibetan ecosystem. The Tibetan people are being apart from His Holiness, forced to denounce even, the Tibetan people are trying hard to hang on to their identities. Their identity of true self, denied by the authority, surrounded by openly and covertly exercised dirty tactics of the Chinese government. The Tibetan, the people, the culture, and the religion, what they have -- the world must recognize what they have. The power tries to deprive people of what they believe they are -- be it Islam, or nationality. It is the first thing they do, not without reasons, it is for their own safety. It is as if hurting, denying self to talk about the Chinese government did one thing or the other to "help" at the same time denying all that they have. As if any one of theirs mean much compare to what is truly sacred. Their silly slogans, their dirty languages, their foolish entertainment, their disgusting music. They are the one to make choice, not the government.
When the US President Obama announced its decision to meet with the Dalai Lama, the Chinese government made plans for the development of the region. It restarted talks with the Tibetan government in exile. Many people are relied upon His Holiness, that is showing in their existence. His Holiness the Dalai Lama issued a statement today. He refers to the Chinese government's cultural genocide on Tibetan people, prohibiting the people from learning Buddhism, limiting their freedom, and insulting their dignity by not recognizing their religion in its full value. His Holiness sends prayers for the happiness and well-being of all sentient beings.
