Guinea's first free election

The tone of those articles -- a new fresh start of the democratic Guinea.  Bah, I thought.

As if the election there can ever be "fair" after the coup.  The country is only holding the election because the coup leader Captain Moussa "Dadis" Camara has been shot and nearly killed last December. Who was behind the shooting in the first place?  The rule by the captain has been reportedly violent, with promises of elections in 2009.  After he was shot, General Konate took his place.

Coups, always are tragedies than anything else.  It is "mass murder" to get their ways through.  Who let them in the first place?  Who could be responsible?

Then here is this:

The fact that they are having an election is a good thing.  But it does not end in that.  The truly amazing thing is that Konate is not running for the election on Sunday, nor do the members of the junta. The ex-prime ministers are running in the election, including Cellou Dalein Diallo, Sidya Toure, and Alpha Conde.

A truly democratic and fair election.

The people in Guinea seems to call this election like a dream.

Hopefully, this will lead to a stable and prosperous Guinea that they deserve, which is rich in bauxite, gold, diamonds and iron ore.
