If burning Quran could be called a tactics, it must only be that the resistance from the Islam world could unite that particular Christian sect. And it has a side effect. It will unite all Islam extremists. It offers them the reason to name Westerners "evil". The resistance will put the US and NATO soldiers at risks by provoking the very basic emotional reactions from the Islam world.
The Bible talks about love and compassion, and even forgiveness. Is this really a Christian act? Smearing on someone else's sacred possessions is a base act of human, however tempting that might be.
