I am worried about the consequences of the Nobel Peace Prize to Liu Xiaobo. Even the British media is taking it like just a symbol. Do they not see the anger of Chinese government? And its fear is justifiable in that this incident would unite the anti-government moves which it is so afraid of. Unstable Chinese government -- the chain reaction of the movement leading to riots -- but this is just the possible scenario. What this means is more serious. It angers the Chinese government under dictatorship, gets on its nerves. They should be aware of how China became -- or this is just like sky falling. Some refer to the former Soviet Union but CCCP was better than China. At least, they've kept the records of executions. Many go to China for organ transplants. Those organs are from prisoners. There are two million people in concentration camps in China.

Funny how reputation sets the minds of people. I was working on the flower bed in front of the apartment putting the plants in pots which I just got from the store today. I put Russian sage on the left side looking out to the street, Startys on the right side. Then a passenger passed by and told me the yard looks much better and I thanked her. Then I said to her "I am not sure where to put these plants. They might look better on that corner (pointing at the left corner of the entire yard)." Then she said, there are already many there, those should be here beside the sidewalks. My hesitation went away somewhat and I put the flowers at that spot. It is just that they looked fit when she said they would, and that is the funny thing about reputation working on the minds of people.
Say, the work load would alleviate by reputations as well. I was working on the turf grass cutting them by manual mower. The passer-by looked at me and said "That is a classical way of doing things". I replied to her "It is good for you". Then I felt much better working on those tools simply because I had to say something good about how I work with those tools. Well, it is good for me and the environment using those classical tools then it is worth my time and efforts.
I put the Deval Patrick/Tim Murray sign in the yard. The sign is on the corner so that the people driving on both of streets that meet would be able to look at it. The sign is made of a blue flat plastic bag with the names in white on it, which is open on one end so that a hard metal wire can put in that form a frame. Both ends of the wire should stick on the ground.

Yes, reputation means something. But the US media could be outdated in their perception of China. What do they have to demand Liu Xiaobo's release anyway? Reputation?

At this moment, it seems like the US media is not giving us the information on what threats China imposed on whom. If nothing comes up, that is a progress, just censorship. They only report abstract, not figures nor names.
