In the book 'Marine Ecology', it says the diurnal temperature difference is within .3 degree in the open ocean and 3 degree in coastal waters. And the concentration of salt in the sea water is 3.5% and is fairly kept in the same level under 1000m. The continental shelf occupies 3% of the area. There are vast area of coastal rises and abyssal plains. The ocean bed is full of resources -- only the mining must be kept under strict rules.
I went out to the sea today and there are seaweeds and sea shells are on the beach. The sea gulls dig them up and scatter the shells all over. The crabs and bivalves, in sizes of over 10 cm. There are quite many of the shells of the crab and clams. When I walk by the gulls, they left a clam there on the sand, alive. They have the peculiar warning cries when any intruder approaches.
As I walk by the sea gulls, I pondered about the election, about how the polls are and who endorses whom -- and the results of primaries. In Georgia, there are only .4% difference in votes in the Nathan Deal and Karen Handel primary run-off. They have Coca Cola, CNN, Delta, Home Depot, UPS, etc in Georgia.
