The beach was cold but the sun was nice and warm. The many colored rocks were round and shining like jewels, awash by the waves. The ocean water was crystal clear and was greenish brown. The waves carry seashells, kelps, sea colanders, Zostera or seagrass, and crab and lobster exoskeletons to the shore. I spread my towels and try to relax. This is what I learned from my Dutch friend, to spend the time at the beach. I took out my kindle and continued with the book I was reading. A few people came and passed by. A woman with a cute dog with blue ribbons came and the dog sniffed at my luggage then went away running. She was wearing a hat that cover all around her face and was ready for the cold. She was talking to her cell phone, speaking in Russian.
The blue ribbon drove me back to the thought to the Japanese abduction cases by North Korea. The blue ribbon is a symbol of the movement to rescue the abductees. Some put the blue ribbon on the twitter icons to show their supports for the victims, families and friends of the abductees.
