Akiko Yano & Skoop On Somebody Charity Concert

JCCC Foundation as a fund raising effort held a concert on March 5 by Akiko Yano and Skoop On Somebody.  The concert was nice.

NHK is in it and says welcome back.  The songs portrait the dreams, aspirations, laments, peace, sincerity, happiness and reality.

Akiko Yano was singing songs, and she sang "let us go out when it shines; let us walk on the street; adventure and new findings".

Another one of her song was "troubles of our life; let us go to spa; we need no helps; let us go immediately".

She was trying to get the air of "next door women" and talked about foods jokingly.

The fact that any can go out just freely, and the fact that what they look for for life is the relaxation in spa, reminded me of the life in Japan.  When I traveled all around the country, by train, there are the views that warms you up.  The scenery that spread before you when you go through the tunnels; the expectations of things that are new to you; castles, museums, pictures, postcards, foods, and of course, the safety, security, and the welcoming people there.  "Beyond the tunnel -- was the sea" says the JR ad.  Spring is a good season for traveling, they say.

Kana and I will be going for shopping today.

We were talking about traveling. She said her car needs some fixes because she ran over a deer in Missouri where she was. She told me how the locals deal with such cases. She said, it is recommended not to slow down, but to speed up when the deer jumps in front of the car. In doing so, the deer would go over the car instead of breaking the front window. It would mean, though, to kill the deer.
