In the office, I was talking to May and Darlene about the measures to cut subsidies to oil companies. Those companies reportedly are making tens of billions of dollars while the oil prices are up, now well over $4 per gallon. They, however, were pretty much pessimistic about the prospect even when Ryan, from the Republican side, talked about cutting them and received applause from the audience. May was showing some sort of gesture that generally represents corruption. They said, it is not going to be easy.
