Rahm Emanuel inaugurates in Chicago; Dominique Strauss-Kahn arrested

Rahm Emanuel, the new Chicago mayor inaugurated today. He referred to the diverse background of the city and said he support the DREAM Act. He stressed the need for change for the city and said that the one thing the city of Chicago can not accept is "we have not done this before".



Dominique Strauss-Kahn, the Managing Director of IMF is held in custody for assaulting a woman in NY. As he has to resign, the deputy director John Lipsky is taking his place. DSK is a potential French Presidential candidate for the 2012 election from center-left PS. The argument goes that French, or Europeans lost the position at IMF because of this and that the resignation could boost the right wings in France.
