The French President Sarkozy announced the government will invest 1 billion euros in new nuclear technologies. In his announcement of the plan, he said "I understand the difficult political situation that I also am in" and "but I have one limit, that is the responsibility". With 180 journalists present, he made the announcement on Monday and called the decision for the future and is an important one.
