The weekend; The public aspects of IT

In the green pasture, butterflies float in the air, dragonflies somersault, blackbirds sings in their piercing voice, swallows flies low, squirrels run up to the trees, chipmunks eat on the ground, red-purple thistles bloom, milkweeds bear the shaded purple flowers, and every tree is all fresh green.  The cottonwoods emit the fluffy seeds that float in the air softly landing on the ground.

There were people running, riding bikes, roller skating, walking, chatting.  Some are fit, some are not, some are in earnest, and some are not.  A few greet, most of them do not.  From the bridges, there are many fishing, many of them having hats to avoid the sunlight which is getting stronger.

What should go public in the Internet?

This may sound a simple question of the hesitation of some company whether to make some sites available only for members.  This, however, is something more critical for all.  When the information is controlled by the search engine, it is not too hard to educate people something leading to right, or wrong pages.  When you are hitting the wrong pages, your engineer life would be ruined.  How can the government help engineers for freedom, and help them create jobs?

Should operating systems not go public?

Certain applications are tuned to run slowly and are unstable in Windows.  The public aspects of the Internet, and the Operating Systems are crucial for people who run businesses on them.  Microsoft should be credited to have policies of its own.  That, however, should not limit the life of engineers who run programs on its products.

The cell-phones are unfairly expensive.  How could the government spread the use of wifi, the hotspots?
