President Obama in his weekly address called out to make a call to lawmakers to extend the payroll tax extension. The Payroll Tax Cut lowered the social security tax rate by 2%, will be expired if no action is taken.
It means thousands of dollars will be deprived from us. It lowers the amount of money that can be spent in the market. It is bad for the economy, and employment. The Republicans are now showing reluctance in extending the measure for purely political reasons.
Let us hope the lawmakers from both aisles will take the necessary measure to extend the payroll tax holiday.
