President Obama's speech on the American Jobs Act.

There is this Boston Globe article that criticize President Obama's speech on the American Jobs Act.

For starter, for the same issue and unfairly evaluating it differently, is the stand point of view that any good teachers should take.

The plan does contain some of the key features of the Republican sides as well.  More than half of the plan consists of tax cuts, including the payroll tax cuts implemented in the previous administration.  Infrastructure spending is something both parties would please to take especially when the election is getting near.  Just making it sound bad just by the wording of it by making an analogy to teaching, is naive if not out of necessity.

Just because the President's policies sound just right should not be an excuse to liken his policies to homework, something a teacher gives to students -- who deserve respects from them anyway.

Whether the market would react or not depends on how it is known to public.  Why is the high rate of unemployment?  What happens when the unemployment insurance runs out?  The American Jobs Act is answering those questions if not fully then partially that certainly deserve some credits and reference from that points of view.

The discussion, should be on how to fund the plan.  If it is coming from the $1.5 trillion, that is what should be at stake.  High expectations of the public and the media, however, as the author states in the article, should be managed with great care.
