Questions of today

There will be a press conference today from the Press Secretary Jay Carney today.

- There have been no signs for the Syrian government to cease attacks on its citizens. Neither that there have been no possibility to pass the resolution at UNSC. What is the plan?

- The high school shooting killed three when Virginia repealed the law that have been imposed upon the state since 1993 to ban the purchase of more than one gun a month. What is the administration going to do with the issue of gun on the federal level?

- The North's new leader said they would sustain uranium enrichment in return for food aids. How does the Obama administration plan to verify its nuclear activities? What is the difference between the negotiation with the North last time this time that ended in multiple nuclear tests? In 1994 agreement, the US supplied not only foods but also light weight nuclear reactors, the allied nations supplied hundreds of millions of dollars each year. The nuclear development did not halt at that point neither at any point after it tested ballistic misses. It went on to test its nuclear weapons in 2006 and in 2009. How do you respond to the criticisms that the North is just buying time until they fully develop the nuclear warheads?

The answers were: the agreement is "positive" and "notable", and they will watch "carefully" at the North Korean's actions that they will follow the agreement.
My question really is, do they have any other objective than winning the next election?
