President Obama will be in town today. So are the GOP Presidential candidate Romney and Rick Santorum.
In the open house at the Township Democrat office yesterday, I had the chance to meet a student activist for Palestine. I asked three questions to her:
- How should the international community react to the Israel's fatal assaults of the aid workers, the flotilla incident?
- What is the next step for Palestine to get a statehood? How should it join the UN?
- What should be the mechanisms for countering the Israeli aggression such as this week's aereal bombardment on the Gaza strip?
She said little has been known about the issues and that we need to be more active in informing people what is going on there. She showed some skeptisism on the UN roles on those issues but said the Palestine participation would help its government formation.
