Fairness

An Elgin man was killed in Afghanistan.  His heroic act makes our life safer and ensure freedom and democracy.  He was engaging in difficult tasks in dangerous situations.

Meanwhile, the polls show many of us are not sure why the troops are 'invading' Afghanistan.  The poll figures went down at a time when the Quran burning incident angered many in the people in Afghanistan and the people in the religion.  The massacre by a 'brain-injured' soldier in the nearby villages brought criticisms worldwide.

There is no fairness nor justice, in the world where there is no law that is being observed by the members of the society.  Such a hate crime as in Oklahoma would only bring more hatred on both sides.  The use of violence in such a thoughtless manner only escalates tensions that only result in not a solution to either side but more hatred.

Insisting on the traditional roles has never been so-called 'heroic'.  In English, it is rightfully called bullying.  Bullying does not necessarily end up in a rule-making process that both side agree.  When we look to ally nations, we need to be fair.  Let us be fair.  Let us be fair and say this indeed is a blessed nation.
