#StopTheSpending #election2012

Illinois's medicaid costs doubled in the last decade, and the Illinois pension debt amount is the largest in the nation.  The credit rating of the state is among the lowest of all the states.

Gov. Quinn announced last Friday to cut the spending in medicaid and his plans for retirement reforms.  The state legislature is talking about taxing on cigarette as well.

The Illinois tax has hiked by 67% in January 2011.  The "happy" tax date was on April 17, 2012.  I asked people what they think of the tax hike.

"I know.  But what could we do?"

"I understand.  There are people receiving money who should not"

"You in politics?  Taxes went up.  Stop it."
