Francois Hollande sworn in in France

The new French President Francois Hollande sworn in on Tuesday.  The new President is expected to name the Prime Minister and hold talks with the German counterpart.  The new cabinet is to be announced on Wednesday.

Among the new tasks that the new President faces soon after his inauguration is the possibilities of the massive layoffs by the French companies which have been 'holding off' taking measures that might have affected the Presidential election.  The layoffs at the time of the President Obama's new term is still fresh in mind.  Before sworn in to the office, the President promised to take measures for layoffs.  The new French President is known to have had a very radical idea of -- prohibiting layoffs of companies that are making profits.  The unions would play a part in the negotiation with the companies.

The seeds of democracy, that took root -- in Burma.  Probably with such a people like George Owell that plunge himself in -- socialist agenda, the principle based upon human values won in such cases.  Aungsan Suu Kyi is now in the Parliament.  At the meeting with the South Korean President Lee Myong Bak, the Burmese government announced to cut imports of weapons from North Korea.

The US media, was silent mostly quiet on the World Uighur Conference in Tokyo that opened on Monday.  The Chinese government's opposition has been open and vocal.  It has sent letters to the Japanese lawmakers to stop the conference from opening.  It even demanded the Japanese government not to issue visas for Rebiya Kadeer.
