President Obama: The Guarantor of Freedom

President Obama spoke at the graduation ceremony at Air Force Academy and said the more the nation is respected in its deeds, the more power it would have in the international scenes, and that the United States is the most respected in the world.  The President said the United States is by far the sole guarantor of the freedom around the globe with its military capacity comparable to no other.  He touted that the administration ended the war in Iraq and end the Al-Qaeda's momentum by killing Osama bin Ladin.

He talked of North Korea and referred to how the US armed forces aids were welcomed in tsunami-hit Japan.  And then added that he does not oppose the peaceful emergence of powers elsewhere. Meanwhile, the Senate Armed Services Committee found 1800 cases of made-in-China fake military equipment parts sold in the market.

He said, those nations which do not comply with the international norms would have consequences.  Of what nature?  Let us hope the Administration has the long term plans for the next century which the President touts as the "American Century".
