Is it time to make concession to the Chinese 'leadership'?
If any possible skirmish should occur in the region, it is -- against China. Unless China gradually moves into more democratic society, and stops increasing the military spending by double digits, there is no reason to compromise with the corrupt US politicians whose friends just happen to be making money selling products to those poor Chinese people.
Should the government keep on spending?
It does not work at least in those places where the worst possible cause of malfunction of the governing entity is exactly the public money. They do not have any incentives to make it work for those who pay for them. No, I do not think it is right to collapse the system to fix it. We do not need revolution. We need to keep working on to fix the system.
The public sector works can get improved indeed with the improved political system. Thanks to the US pressure and the LDP leadership especially the former Prime Minister Koizumi, the media has placed spotlights on cases of negligence. But still it has its limit. The most productive sector of all nation is the private ones. People work for money under more or less watch of the media.
I may not know what are the EU nations' talks on the EU bonds all about. But one thing for sure; someone who can must take the responsibility, and that should indeed be out of compassion.
The way that they did not allow the individual to have preferences resulted in a society where the abilities of the person are limited strongly that is adhere to the standard norm. The norm is then formed that would benefit the vested interests; at war time, to the nation, at another time, to those that brings money to home. It is one of the hardest lesson for those to understand that each has preferences that there are more even socially accepted values in the society.
