Here in Chicago, there hardly any signs of the up-coming election. But today, I saw a car which has a sticker on the back. Election is nearing.
President Obama in his speech in Ohio, stated that this election is really about the economy. The President stressed how his administration could achieve the goal by trying to strengthen the middle class. "The market can not solve all the problem", he said.
1. Education
Education is what makes us strong, as a human being and as a nation. The GOP party, the President said, has tried to fire teachers citing the budgetary problems.
For that, I heard an interesting story. When I said that the 250,000 educators across the nation lost their jobs in five years, I was told "The rich do not care. They do not have to. They send kids to private schools".
Thousands of cuts in just a year is not a way to make the educational system in the States neither good nor patriotic.
2. Immigration
The President stressed through education the people should achieve so-called the American Dream. When 40% of all IT venture are created by those who were not born in the States, the immigration is a factor that invigorate the economy for sure, along with those works that the citizens no longer are willing to do.
3. Clean Energy
The green house emission of the United States is just less than that of China. The President said,
4. Research
Funding the research, and let the people know the advancements are an important part of the functions of the government.
5. Infrastructure
The poor maintenance over the US infrastructure is evident and apparent if you drive the nation a bit.
President Obama stressed that he is aware of what has been discussed among the lawmakers, the huge debts, trade deficits, the financial crisis owing to poor oversights, wasteful spending, pet projects and earmarks, and so on. He urged his opponents to show the plans for economic recovery and said the tax cuts for the riches is not a way to get the economy back on track -- is just a way to get the votes and/or the money from them.

The green house emission of the United States is just less than that of China. The President said,
"We have to become the global leader in renewable energy -- wind and solar, and the next generation of biofuels, in electric cars and energy-efficient buildings. So my plan would end the government subsidies to oil companies that have rarely been more profitable -- let’s double down on a clean energy industry that has never been more promising."
4. Research
Funding the research, and let the people know the advancements are an important part of the functions of the government.
"And in the last century, research that we funded together through our tax dollars helped lay the foundation for the Internet and GPS and Google, and the countless companies and jobs that followed. The private sector came in and created these incredible companies, but we, together, made the initial investment to make it possible."
5. Infrastructure
The poor maintenance over the US infrastructure is evident and apparent if you drive the nation a bit.
"Now is the time to rebuild America. So my plan would take half the money we’re no longer spending on war -- let’s use it to do some nation-building here at home. Let’s put some folks to work right here at home."
