President Obama spoke on the Immigration Reforms today. He said, the reforms have been supported by members of both parties. It is sheer politics that holding them back, he said. The President referred to the case with a music student in Chicago. They came here at early stages of their life, and are citizens of the States through and through, he said. The deportation of the student were met with protests by the teachers and the members of the community, which inspired him to pass the reforms, he said. The President reiterated that the sort of the immigration reforms that he announced are not 'amnesty' but a temporary measure to do the right thing.
The cross-cultural assessments tends to be an insensitive and oftentimes a ridiculous one. Let us hope the nation will move into the pathways that are more responsible and understanding.
