Obama = disappointments?

-- The nations pledged more than $16 billion for Afghanistan.  The support will continue after the NATO force's withdrawal.

-- Greece's new Prime Minister Samaras in his address to the nation on Friday that he will seek to extend the debt repayment period to another two years in negotiation with the EU.

I am quite disappointed at the foolish Chicago macho image of 'coolness'.  It seems to mean financially-irresponsible most-insensitive power monger is a part of the image.  That he who is termed as 'smart' should be riding a car with blond beauties in dresses wearing absurd glittering watches saying "I can pay more".

Comparing the former President Bush to President Obama, I believe, is not fair.  After all, at the time of war, the poll supported President Bush's approach by over 90%.  It was the nation's choice.  President Bush was trusted and was a reliable leader who did not disappoint voters with false promises in the same way as President Obama did.  On the other hand, the President's promises are widely supported.   If President Obama is termed as a disappointment then it is because he is an ineffective leader.   Whatever his leadership is termed, however, he wins the arguments anyway as in the cases with the Supreme Court.  He wins arguments those with victims of his management when he says sorry.  "Oh it is actually not a loss for me" the burdened taxpayers would say (or not).

A good leader should not act on an impulse, let alone when in trouble.  Being hawkish at one time and then change back to some position taken before, do not only give the voters an impression of weakness but also deep distrust for what reasons supplied.
