McCain, Fortuno, Rice, and Ryan at RNC while President Obama was answering questions on Reddit

Former presidential candidate John McCain spoke at RNC on Wednesday and stressed that the US must be leading the world for freedom and democracy.

President Obama on his part of the reelection campaign was on Reddit.  He answered questions online that ranged from the budget on NASA to baseball and beer.  The conversation itself is rather a harmless one, and the questions are, particularly the ones the President answered.  It indeed shows how popular the President is.  The questions included, however, something like "How can be a Nobel Laureate and increase military spending" etc.

Puerto Rican governor Fortuno spoke about his governance and said he balanced the budget by cutting expenses by 20% and succeeded in cutting taxes by 50% from individuals and 30% from corporations.

The former Secretary of States Condi Rice spoke at RNC.  She warned of the consequences of the huge debts.  She poses a question "Where does America stand?"

But the American ideal is indeed endangered today. There is no country, no not even a rising China, that can do more harm to us than we can do to ourselves if we fail to accomplish the tasks before us here at home.

She reaffirmed the audience that the GOP candidates "have the experience and the integrity and the vision to lead us – they know who we are, what we want to be and what we offer the world".

The GOP's vice presidential candidate Rep. Paul Ryan emphasized the importance of keeping the fiscal house in order.  He praised former governor of Massachusetts Mitt Romney for turning the state budget from red to surplus.
