What is notable, though, is the lack of any sort of expectations nor initiatives from the Republican party, or at least they are not put up front anywhere. Any build-ups for the convention? Perhaps there was when Akin was told to step down. Or perhaps there is in the Afghan situation that seems to discourage people even more about the US war on terrorism. The multiple shooting incidents did not sway the people in the middle to the NRA logic. Hopefully, the hurricane Issac will not associated with Katrina which killed 1836 people in 2005. The RNC convention is postponed due to hurricane Issac that now is in Florida.
But you would never know. There might be a big pleasant surprise for all of us. A brand new idea to rebuild the nation's economy or the budgets. Strong stands against those moneylender nations under dictatorship and for freedom and democracy. The police should not be our enemy. The addictive gambling and marijuana deprive us of freedom that is available to those are free from those habits. The values in ethics by its name based on traditions could saves us from the ever blood thirsty media that looks only for excitements "that awake you" regardless of the outcome.
Could we hope for any other ideas from GOP other than cutting taxes from big corporations and the riches, which fund them? Despite the polls that are increasingly negative on the wealth disparity, the parties are reluctant in implementing the measure. Less people now believe that hard work pays off. Are the GOP party with us? Would the promises of the jobs convince the voters for the disparity? Rewarding success is fine with compliments and all that. What of the CEO's getting hundred times more than the average employees?
Let us hope the convention opens a door to new discussions. Let us hope the negative ads will not further deepen the apathy of the voters. Let us hope beyond the hurricane, the sunshine shines on this nation again.
