People's voices on teachers strikes in Illinois

Voices from the people in Illinois on teachers' strikes:

The teachers' strike in Illinois is very unpopular.  30% pay raise? We are not getting that amount, said Darlene.  And the pensions are big, May agreed.

"I had to find work and I am working now" Lian said.  He does not think strikes are the right way to go.

Vanessa from California said she does not agree with strikes either.  "To be honest," she said, when I asked her opinions on the budget cuts to universities in California, "we should put more money into the economy."

"Teachers are getting the short end of stick," Didi said.  She, however, does not agree that strikes are the right way to get their demands.  "The city started to charge for school buses.  Instead of all the constructions and all that, we should spend more to schools" she said.

"What do you buy from store these days?  There is nothing made in USA.  Do you know the highest amount I pay for this country?  It's the taxes", said Wisly.
