The last debate before the election will be held on Monday |
Ahead of the last Presidential debate on Monday, the Twitter site is full of tweets that vilify both candidates.
Among the trending hashtags for Romney are #binderfullofwomen and #Romnesia, which typically represent the governor Romney's political stance or images among voters.
President Obama has been know for his support for equal rights, and the attacks on Romney are proportional to what he has accomplished in his first term in office. The Romney's insistance on how he employed women when he was the governor of Massachusetts in the last debate, was symbolized in the word that he described the situation when he tried to hire female for his office. Romney said in the debate that he had a #binderfullofwomen. At best, the word denotes, Romney could look at the resumes of female applicants if he has to. In contrast to the President's approach, the Romney Binder warns the female voters how he would be dealing with professional women. Many people tweeted on the hashtag to express their opinions on Romney who according to the President' tweets had only hired female for 25% of new positions when he was the governor of Massachusetts.
The Romney's shaky political stance is the objective of attacks as well. Having been the proponent of the Romneycare, as they call his medical reforms in Massachusetts, and denying the President Obama's healthcare reforms, Romney has been under attacks from both sides of the aisle. President Obama in his Virginia speech termed it as #Romnesia, forgetful of taking one side and shifting the position in such a way to lure voters of both sides. No one knows how he is to do with Obamacare. The healthcare reforms may end up just with a reform with name only or he may just as well rename it and call it he repealed it.
The challenger Romney can not escape from those accusations, unless he shows us something substantial. His vague promises to close loop holes are targets of ridicules among voters as well. Let us hope as the election nears, the both candidate will make it clear for us to show us how they can move things forward, and not backward.
