- The comments on 'the life on conception' by the Indiana senatorial candidate Richard Mourdock has caused stirred among female voters when he said getting pregnant in case of rape is the wills of God. The concept of forced pregnancy sounded like a gross abuse of human rights and some of the party members nationwide dropped support or nearly so. The former Presidential candidate John McCain said he would not support Mourdock unless he apologizes. The governor Mitt Romney's camp seemed to have take more cautious steps toward the problem, and now is attacked by his constituents.
- Tokyo Mayor Shintaro Ishihara is to quit to form a political party. He is known for his sharp rhetoric but his right-wing stance backlashed when the territorial dispute between Japan and China caused massive outrage on both sides. The Mayor's new party is reportedly to join the Sunrise Party of Japan.
