Today is the election day.

Today is the election day.

We made calls to voters nationwide.  "We'd be making calls to midnight," Sara said from the Streamwood office.  We'd be making calls till the last minute, Megan from the Arlington Heights office said.  Sara has been working for Obama for America, and Megan for Rep. Jan Schakowsky.

As we call out to voters to vote, and vote for Democrats, I have been given good advices for making calls.  "Just thank them.  Thank them for the support," Diane said.  She has been working as a telemarketer for years.  No one would feel bad being thanked, she told me.  They would listen to you.  She gave me a good advice for getting answers as well.  "Do not ask them directly," she said.  Just tell them "We count on your support," she said.

It seems to me, however, we might have flooded the voters with calls these days.  But for many that answered our calls said they will vote and vote for Democrats.  The opinion polls says the support rates for Obama and Romney are tied, and many that have been in the campaign said this is a very close race.  "I do not know about New Hampshire," Ann said.  She canvassed there.  "I do not know about Wisconsin," Natalie said.  She canvassed in Racine, WI.

Let us hope for a good turn out for the election.  Let us hope that our voice will be heard.  Let us hope through this process, we would be moving forward, just as the President said, and not backward.

UPDATES: Darlene told me that she voted in the morning.  Brad said he does not have enough information and said all the political ads sounded hollow to him.  "It is the only chance that we have a say in politics," I said.
