Marijuana legalization

Elk Grove, IL
Conformity is yet another thing but conform to a bad habit as drug taking is at least should not the goals of education.

The marijuana legalization issue looks more like a symbolic fight the liberals than about the actual merits that could bring to the lives of people.

There are reports of college professors and more students are tolerant of marijuana taking.  Let's say, if they teach anything of science of physiology or social sciences there, they should teach how bad drugs are to human health or to the society, not making it sound like a great triumph against the rules of the society.  If the drugs are at least as bad as smoking cigarettes, why should they ever encourage them to take them?

Making people under the influence of drugs is not guaranteeing them freedom.  Freedom is to give choices to people, AND guaranteeing the right to refuse.  The drugs around at parties and at schools would make it harder for any students to refuse, just as drinking is.  The criminality of the possession of marijuana by a teenager may not only be attributed to the lack of wills.  The community should make it harder not easier to get drugs.

The underground market of drugs are killing people here and across the border.  The responsibility of this rich society is in not giving the money to drug war lords.  We should all aware that taking drugs is an illegal act and that is bad for ourselves, for our society, and the society beyond our borders.
