Sen. Kerry nomiated; Sen. Inouye passed away; Park spoke with Obama

President Obama nominated John Kerry as the Secretary of State. 

President Obama spoke at the funeral service for Sen. Daniel Inouye and praised his act at the time of war and said that his role during the Watergate scandal inspired him.

South Korean newly President elect Park Geun-hye spoke with President Obama on the phone yesterday.  They reportedly agreed on the need to keep eyes on the aggression by North Korea.
