Tax the rich |
Who is John Kerry?
This well-known figure that ran for the Presidential race in 2004 seems to have both some heroic stories and accusations on what he can bring to the nation's politics.
"He volunteered for the Vietnam war," R. told me in answering my question "Did he not oppose the war?". Sen. Kerry voted for the Libya invasion just recently. Will he be bring peace for the nation?
"Obama hated Mass. Millionaire Romney for only paying %17 taxes, now he appoints Mass. Millionaire Kerry who only paid 12% in taxes. " @MarkSimoneNY wrote in Twitter. He is the richest of all senators. What will it be his role in this budget talk on taxing the rich?
"He's been there for a long time", A. said when I asked her what she thinks of him. Sen. Kerry reportedly speaks French, German, and Portuguese. What are his interests in other parts of the world? He was in Vietnam. Does he have some 'updated' notions of what the situation is in Asia? Will the people in the neighboring nations in Asia be hearing some good news about, say, democratization of the communist nation?
There are a lot of question marks and perhaps concerns on Sen. Kerry's handling the issues domestic and abroad. There, however, would be no doubt on his ability to manage or to layout issues both to public and to the Congress.
Let us hope Sen. Kerry be siding with us, us the middle class, and for the peace. The rich make money on wars and in exploiting on people here in the states as well as in other nations under undeveloped political systems. Let us hope the US will not rely on brutal power of money and military forces. Let us hope Sen. Kerry be with us.
