Weak leadership results in deaths

According to Pew research poll, more than 85% of people agree with background checks when they purchase guns. 

As the French forces intervene into Mali, there is a sad news in neighboring Algeria. 

A group in Algeria announced it captured hostages including French, US UK, Irish, and Japanese personnel. 

Why should other nations suffer from military operations targeting Islam people by the US and France?

This incident gave us a valuable lessons.  Weak leadership results in deaths.  

Only if French did not 'open the gate to hell', those people would have been alive.  Why it is so hard for them to look at the world under 'new' light?  Unilateral Western rule is no longer possible. 

Is this a revenge of the deaths of the Libyan ambassador and others?

Security flaws can not be 'compensated' by military attacks against Islam people.  Furthermore, it is not possible even to impress them the power.  It is meaningless and collateral damage is enormous.
