- Russia refused to bailout the Cyprus's troubled banks on Thursday.　 The EU leaders are demanding billions of euros in exchange for the much needed cache for that bankrupt nation.  Its lawmakers are trying to vote on a measure to raise the required money on Friday. 

- The UK's new Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby was installed on Thursday.
