What is the importance of the Arctic ice melting?
Isotopes are chemical elements that has the same atomic number and different atomic weight. Many isotopes are radio active. The radiation damages human DNA's. That is why after the atomic bomb dropped and killing more than 100,000 instantly, many continue to die by cancer and other diseases. People are still dying in Russia where the nuke tests affected the people there.
Gradient is the growth rate of some values that changes over some interval. There is a mathematical way to define the rate of the increase.
Which involves the beauty of math. It is defined as the increase divided by the interval.
When you take a very small amount of interval, the gradient can be defined for that interval. Then you take the infinite small amount -- this is where the beauty of math comes in to play -- the gradient can be define at that point.
Now you have the gradient values for all possible values. That is called derivatives.
It purely is mathematical, namely, purely symbolic and abstract, the notion of the infinity is.
