The Eastern culture is somewhat very different from the Western one. Each claims their logic to be the righteous one. The Eastern culture demands certain virtues: work ethics and responsibility to the society. Regrettably their society is not made for human being. It is for the system itself. People die for the system. What are we anyway? We are merely a part of the system. The strong sense of affiliation to groups and society is a plus in making their industries the greatest in the world. Almost all computers are manufactured in Asia.
Bluntly put, if one expected to have more than the Airbus sales then it might just be that the underestimation should be blamed upon. No one, even with the US military and arrogance had resulted nothing. Nowadays the US Administration does not even meet the Dalai Lama nor even refers to Tibet. Do you call that smart? The US, now the leader of capitalistic world if not the leader of the Western world nor that of the trans-Pacific ocean, is soon to be take over by China. The half of the economic activities in the world is done in Asian region. 30% is in China.
China is under dictatorship. There is no election, and they do possess their cultural heritage. To avoid a cultural war, one needs to proceed carefully.
The Tibetan monks are committing suicides to demonstrate their resentments, which the Chinese government calls it an act of 'terrorism'. How could a suicide be an act of terrorism? They are doing all they can to say what the Chinese government is doing is wrong for them, without harming others. Why could the mainstream media not take up the issue anymore?
"Tibetan language is not used anymore in the region" "The economic success with the help of the Chinese government changed their ways of life" "The Dalai Lama is thing of the past" and those propaganda is not only the reason for how the Han Chinese take them as a part of their cultural heritage, the Tibetan Buddhism. Life is hard for everyone of them. They must fight and shout to survive. Expecting them to recognize the human rights for Tibetans won't work. The communist agenda of work ethics directly conflict against the value of the religious ceremonies and donation money to temples. Without their heritage, especially their language, the Tibetans won't be Tibetans anymore, however.
