While it is, what we are looking at is this: war on resources, esp. fossil fuels. The escalated tension with population expansion, the region is restless with no light at the end of the tunnel. We simply need to move on to green energy and especially in China or people will continue to die by air pollution.
The tough competition on resources have prompted the Arab people to take up arms fueled by groups from outside looking for profits for themselves.
Look at Iraq. The nation is still in turmoil. The US is still killing Afghan people there and sometimes cross the border to Pakistan. We still do not have any sort of social stability there. The killings by drones are angering the people there and elsewhere.
Now Iran is having a Presidential election next month. What then? Only those likely candidates are conservatives. The failed coup back in 2008 brought hundreds of thousands of people on the street and even so, there is not much hope of any change will come to their politics.
Now the administration is talking about starting yet another war there. What then? Any blueprint of the new government? Any hopes of stable government? Is the end of the civil war in sight?
