No more recess

I praise the citizens reactions to lame duck sessions in the Congress.

They do not keep silent about the issues that concerns their finance directly.  Illinois pension reform.  Obamacare.  Recession.

It is not about the personality of Obama.  Not about race, either.  They just talk of issues how the Illinois pension money being managed right.  Obamacare is costly and raised the premiums.  The unemployment figures are bogus since many no longer do not apply for jobs.

L. was firm on the pension reform.  Granted there are teachers who get a lot of the public pension money as reported.  Some reportedly received more than $400,000 a year.  That, however, does not mean that the teachers should compensate the money that the administration has used for other purposes, she said.

"People do not know much about Obamacare," I recall what J. said at one of the meetings the other day.  Whether they do or not, some people are convinced that it is evil.  While there are people who get the care because of the reform, the premiums may go up.  The loss, in N.'s opinion, would be compensated because more people will have to have healthcare insurance.

"Recession is not over," C. said.  "Sure not," L. responded.  People who are close to them have lost their jobs in recent years.  All the while, the economy in Asia is booming.  China.  The Phillippines.  Cambodia.  "All the jobs have moved overseas," I pointed out.  There still few items made in the USA.
