Tokyo voted; Massachusetts will vote; President Obama on environmental issues

-- Tokyo voted on Sunday to elect local parliamentary representatives.  The ruling party won the race outright, by winning the every race.  Prime Minister Abe is now enjoying a record high rate of approval rates in recent days thanks to stock market doing better than in the previous center-left DJP government.  The nation will vote for the upper house election next month.

-- Massachusetts will vote on Tuesday to replace Secretary John Kerry who formally occupied the seat before becoming State Secretary.  The voters choose either House Representative Ed Markey (D-MA) or Republican Gabriel Gomez for what they believe would be the most beneficial for their state.

-- President Obama is to announce his environmental policies on Tuesday.
