The Zimmerman's case

George Zimmerman was acquitted on Sunday.  The verdict: not guilty.  Zimmerman was accused of shooting Trayvon Martin to death, in an act of defense according to his accounts.  There have been protests online, on the streets, and from lawmakers as well.

The sentiments probably are something like: Did you look at his pictures?  Does he not look innocent?  Did you hear his cries for help?  He can not be doing anything wrong, he was just an African American teen wearing a hooded top.

Some of the comments show outrage on the verdict.  A good many of them express their hatred toward Zimmerman.  Some show surprise at the verdict.  Some claim Zimmerman's act was racially charged.

Is it wrong to question the motives of 6'2'' African American teen with tattoos in a gated community in a crime ridden area?  On the other hand, the 'police-wannbe' Zimmerman certainly did not have his records on the suspected burglary of jewelries and the use of marijuana of Martin's, nor his father's suspected relationship with gang members.  How could the judge's son with Hispanic heritage take the justice in his hands, which ended with such a tragedy?

I heard the recordings of his scream -- for his life.  It was life at stake.  Why could we just not be able to help him out?  Why should we have this community at all?  Why should we have laws in the first place?  Who let this self-proclaimed neighborhood captain carry a gun?
