As President Obama approved the attacks, but required the Congress approvals, the Syrian issues are to take up in the Congress, which reconvenes on 9th. There are protests against taking 'punitive' measures, i.e. shooting Tomahawk missiles on Syria, including those from military.
"I did not join the navy/marine to fight for Al-Qaeda in a Syrian civil war (referring to Syrian rebels having ties with Al-Qaeda)"
"Obama, I will not deploy to fight for your A-Qaeda rebels in Syria, Wake Up People"
"I didn't sign up to kill the poor for the rich, No war w/ Syria!"
Needless to point out that the punitive measures would not have impact on Syrian army in any ways other than it getting support from inside and out.
