The OFA will be hosting a watch party at Durty Nellie's in Palatine, IL today for the State of Union address, or #SOTU today, January 28, 2014 from 6:30 to 9:30. President Obama is to take up issues that sets his agenda in his speech. The agenda reportedly is to frame this year's midterm election that elect governors, senators, and House representatives across the nation.
In last year's speech, President Obama vowed to raise the minimum wage. Just today, the President partially fulfilled his promise to raise the minimum wage. The federal contractors will have the minimum wage of $10.10.
There already are criticisms of his speech out there even before #SOTU. The negativity is incredible. Let us hope it will get us in better footing to get ahead in agenda that concern all of us.
