I believe drugs are not good for themselves, but also bad for the society. Readily available instant escape from the reality, is as bad as fictitious manga talking about fantasy girls. Evidently, there is no space for art nor cultural aspects to drugs either.
The real girl won't be 'liking' someone who 'abuse (unwanted sexual advantage)' with or without good looks. The cartoon says otherwise; the ever cool shit talks to girls and somewhat the girls admire something they are not supposed to be able to do, like using magic or whatsoever. It's a fiction, and a pure fiction for that matter. Girls are now the competitor rather than a passive victim of the abuse.
Using drugs is by far worse than reading cartoon. They create fiction of their own with the help of the drug. Taking drug is easy, in terms of physical availability. Making it look like a brave act of a student to use drugs, is rather absurd. It is the weakness, not strength.
Is marijuana the proof of being a Democrat? I am desperately hoping that is not the case. The drug use is worse than any other crimes not within the border but also in South America. Ignoring the social ill and how it damages others ways of life, both domestically as well as outside.
My Democrat friend, however, insisted that clemency of drug users or traffickers can be justified. Think of the victims of drugs that they carry, I told her. Her answer somewhat amazed me: why should only the traffickers be punished, while all, let's say, white students can get away with it? Clemency may not be fair but no restrictions on the users may indeed be class or race problems.
Laws are there not for reinforcing disparity for sure, granted. They are for keeping laws and orders. Could clemency keep the citizens away from the drugs? Many of the nations around the globe have tougher laws for the buying, selling and use of drugs. Think of Thailand and the fat Western tourists with money corrupting the local community by the use of drugs. Think of the poor South American nations and the drug lords that abuse citizens there. The sense of liberty, is that it, that the social ill has corrupt the society?
Let us hope that the government at least painting it that the drug use is not a proof of courage, even when 'everybody' is using it.
