Pres. Putin spoke and the US media reaponded

Russian President Putin gave a televised interview on Thursday talking about Ukraine and Snowden.  Now the US media is all out picking and attacking what he said; did he excluded the possibility of the use of force?

The use of force, in 21st century Europe and Russia, may sound ridiculously absurd, but the referendum in Crimea has been hugely popular among Russians.  His support rate is all time high, standing at something like 80%.  Not to mention that support rate never has been less than 60%.  Is he riding on it too much, or is this a covert maneuver for raising oil prices and supporting GOP, the opposition party of the incumbent Democratic government in the US?

The Russian President brought up the cases in Kosovo and Libya during his talk.  He posed a question: the right, the justification of the use of force, on the Western side, and terrible consequences of the use of violence, really can be so justifiable?  Should the strong and united Russia be again moving away from the rest of Europe?

What is particularly absent from the US media, actually is the voice from Ukrainians.  The Ukrainians are to hold an election next month.  This is the time of crisis for the nation.  What is Ukraine?  The election should result in a strong and unified Ukraine that can tell other nations; we are united, we can manage, we have the governing structure.  Instead, what is this all fuss about strong NATO and the sending out warships out?  Should this incident stop the Europeans selling weapons to Russia?  Why should they selling weapons anyway? Look at what happened in Libya.  The weapons supplied to citizens are now out in all parts of Africa.

Instability is the enemy of all economic activities and is a result of the lack of governance.  The capital would flee from Russia.  Let us hope for a happy ending: the united Ukraine and dialog between Russia and Europe.
