Obama: Go green! Romney: Raise the minimum wage!

- President Obama spoke on environmental issues in Mountain View, CA, and vowed to work to rein in the climate change.  Hundreds of companies now are working to limit their use of energy, the President said.  The federal government buildings will go more green, and that creates jobs, he said.

Going green is indeed a good policy for the US companies.  That can be the major sales point, against cheap labor, having the definite advantage of it.  Clean air to breath, clear water to drink, and crops that are safe to human consumption and evidently countering the climate change are the challenge of the century, here in the States and elsewhere.


- The former Presidential candidate Mitt Romney said on Thursday that he backs the minimum wage hike.  The GOP party is all about more jobs and better pay, he was quoted.  The raising of the minimum wages should have an impact on the economy for sure.  Higher purchasing power boosts the economy.

The opinion polls support the idea of raising the minimum wage.  Indeed, I believe it is risk-free.  If it works and the economy gets better then GOP can claim they can work for the betterment of us the middle class.  If not, they can claim that it's all Dems' fault (and ask for donation money).
