Since the tragic death of a man from Liberia by the Ebola virus in Texas, the world is hurrying to react to the rapidly spreading epidemics. More than 4000 have died by the disease so far as reported, and the deadly disease of high mortality rate is spreading throughout the region, mainly in East Africa.
The Obama Administration has pledged to send thousands of troops there for the fight against the virus. The Congress passed $750 million for the disease, $250 million short of what the Administration asked for. Now the virus is spreading among European nations.
People's interests are high on this issue. The figure shows the number of tweets last month about the virus. Granted that limited number of patients of the virus are found among the developed nations and number of patients recovered from the disease under better healthcare conditions, people are affected, infected and rightfully showing concerns.
Let's say, this fight may be a difficult and dangerous one, but certainly a necessary one. The US troops are already there. Let us hope the US leadership will be a positive one this time.
