Arlington Heights Memorial Library

I love our town library.  The library is in a magnificent building, big, spacious, and no worry for parking space right off the town.

They got a good book on Polish language last year.  My Polish friend has not been around for some time but I wanted to brush up my knowledge.

The book has been gone from the book shelf for some time.  It could be popular for whatever reasons, say the sizable Polish population in the community etc.  Then I checked the catalog.  Interesting, I thought.  It says, it is available, ready to take out.

So then I went back to the shelf and examine the shelf again.  No, there is no trace of the book anywhere.  I went to ask the librarian.  The book is gone.  Someone did not return it, or displaced it.

Then the librarian, or rather an assistant said I should ask the information desk about the book.  In all, they are helpful, and we concluded that the book is not there in the library.  The librarian said he will get it from other library.

I waited for the book.  Then I was taken aback as I got the message say: the book is not available from our library.  You must call and request from other library.  What?  Of course there is no book in the library.  I should be getting the book from other library by now.

Well then.  I made another phone call this morning.  She said, she will make the request and I should be getting the book soon.
